Former New Jersey Rockets defensemen David Kolomatis was selected in the 5th round, with the 5th pick (126 overall) by the Los Angeles Kings. He stared in the AJHL in the 04-05 season and has been developing in the OHL with the Owen Sound the past few seasons.

The Toronto Maple Leafs selected the Binghamton, NY native Jerry D”Amigo with the 7th pick of the 6th Round. D’Amigo was named AJHL Rookie of the Year in the 2006-07 season with the Binghamton Jr. Senators. He has spent the last two years with the NTDP on the U-18 team. This past season he helped his team win the gold medal posting 13 points in only 7 games in tournament play.
