Gilford, NH – Members of the Laconia Leafs donated time today to the Gilford Rotary Club to unload Christmas Trees as part of the annual Rotary Christmas Tree sale.

The hockey team partnered with rotary club members to lift, move & stack over 600 trees off a flat bed truck from northern New Hampshire. All proceeds from the tree sale are donated to by the Rotary club to local charities.

Leafs player Alex Kwon commented “it was a great experience, we enjoyed helping out, and hope that the sale goes well for the club”. Leafs coach Will Fay added “we are always looking for opportunities for volunteerism, and we were pleased to be involved with this cause. The kids worked hard, and we plan to do it again next year.”

Officially, Rotary is defined as " an organization of business and professional men and women united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world."
