JARRED TINORDI TAKEN IN FIRST ROUND OF NHL DRAFT BY MONTREAL

 "We are always excited to see our players drafted by the NHL, regardless of what round. But having this first round streak speaks volumes about our League and to our member club's commitment to player development" stated AJHL President, Glenn Hefferan.

"As We continue to produce players like Jarred Tinordi, John Carlson and Jerry Damigo, all taken in the first round and all started their Junior hockey careers at 15 or 16 years of age, I hope it makes everyone take notice why so many good young players turn to the AJHL and Junior hockey for their development as elite hockey players" added Hefferan.

Jarred played for the Washington Nationals for the 2007-08 Season and coach by NHL veteran Mark Tinordi and father to Jarred. He also has an extensive career within the Atlantic League's Tier I "AAA" Youth system, having played for the Little Caps and Team Maryland.
